Frequently Asked Questions

Prayer times seem off. How do I fix them?

Prayer times are calculated from your device's location. Make sure Fard has location access enabled in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Fard. You can also adjust the calculation method and madhab in Fard › Settings to match your local authority or mosque.

I purchased Fard Pro but the features are still locked.

Open the app and go to Settings › Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then contact us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple. To cancel, go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone and select Fard. Apple handles all billing — we have no access to your payment information.

My prayer log or Dhikr data is missing after reinstalling.

If you are a Fard Pro subscriber, your data syncs via iCloud. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings › [your name] › iCloud and that you are signed in to the same Apple ID. Data stored locally (without Pro) is not backed up and cannot be recovered after uninstalling.

Why does Fard need location permission?

Location is used solely to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your city. Your coordinates are stored on your device only and are never sent to any advertising platform or sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Notifications are not arriving on time.

Check that notifications are enabled in Settings › Notifications › Fard and that the app has Time Sensitive delivery enabled. Also confirm that Focus or Do Not Disturb modes on your device are not silencing Fard alerts.

The Qibla compass is pointing in the wrong direction.

Compass accuracy depends on your surroundings. Move away from metal objects, electronic devices, and magnets. Hold your phone flat and level, then slowly rotate in a full circle to calibrate the sensor. If the issue continues, toggle Location Services off and on for the app.

How do I report a bug?

Email [email protected] with a short description of what happened and your iOS version. A screenshot or screen recording is always helpful.
